FAQ

This knob replaces OEM part numbers 131965300, 131666601, 131666604, 131666606, 820923, AP2107936, AH419092, EA419092, and PS419092.
This knob is compatible with a wide range of dryers manufactured by Frigidaire and Electrolux.
You should replace the knob if the internal D-shaped plastic housing has cracked or stripped, preventing the knob from gripping the timer shaft. If you turn the knob but the timer shaft does not rotate, or if the knob feels loose and slips while you are trying to select a cycle, the internal mounting point has likely failed.
Installation is very straightforward and requires no tools. Simply pull the old, damaged knob straight off the timer shaft. Align the D-shaped opening on the back of the new knob with the flat side of the timer shaft and push it firmly into place until it is seated securely.
The constant torque applied to the knob during cycle selection, combined with the heat generated by the dryer, can cause the plastic material inside the knob to become brittle. Over time, the pressure on the D-shaped insert causes it to crack or lose its shape, resulting in the knob spinning freely without engaging the timer.
