Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • This is a universal component for custom applications or repairs.
  • Can replace existing PWM controllers with matching electrical specifications (10-55V, up to 60A) for brushed DC motors.
  • Always verify voltage, current, and physical dimensions before replacing an existing controller.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for use with two-wire brushed DC motors.
  • Compatible with 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V DC power systems.
  • Suitable for applications such as:
    • Motorized ride-on toys
    • Small electric vehicles and scooters
    • Conveyor belt systems
    • Pump and fan speed regulation
    • Automation and robotics projects

When to Replace

  • Motor fails to operate or responds intermittently.
  • Inability to adjust motor speed; motor operates only at full speed.
  • No output reading or erroneous data on the LED display.
  • Overheating of the controller unit under normal load conditions.
  • Visible damage, such as burn marks or broken components, on the circuit board.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect the power supply before wiring or making adjustments.
  • Verify correct polarity for power input and motor output terminals.
  • Ensure the controller is mounted in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating.
  • Use a wire gauge sufficient to handle the rated 60A current to avoid damage or performance loss.
  • Do not exceed the specified maximum input voltage of 55V DC.

FAQ

This controller is designed specifically for DC brushed motors. It is not suitable for brushless DC motors, AC motors, or stepper motors.
The integrated LED display shows the output duty cycle as a percentage, ranging from 0% to 100%. This allows for precise and repeatable speed adjustments.
This controller operates within a wide voltage range, typically from 6V to 90V DC. Always verify that your power supply voltage matches the motor's rated voltage before connection.
The unit features clearly marked terminals for power input and motor output. Ensure the positive and negative leads are connected correctly, as reversing the input polarity can damage the internal circuitry.
A humming sound at low speeds is often a characteristic of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control. If the noise is excessive, ensure your motor is not under a heavy mechanical load at low RPMs, as this can cause the motor to stall or overheat.
While this unit includes internal current limiting, it is highly recommended to install an external fuse on the positive input line that matches the maximum current rating of your specific motor to protect against short circuits.
