Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- Direct replacement for any capacitor with matching capacitance (124-149 µF) and voltage (165VAC or higher) ratings.
- Commonly used to replace parts from brands such as Mars, TEMCo, and Seentech.
- Compatible with generic model type CD60.
- Replaces part number TEMCo SC0092.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Designed for intermittent duty motor starting applications.
- Suitable for single-phase and three-phase AC electric motors.
- Commonly used in HVAC systems, air conditioners, compressors, refrigeration units, and other motor-driven equipment.
When to Replace
- Motor hums but fails to start.
- Motor starts slowly or requires assistance.
- A clicking sound is heard with no motor activity.
- The capacitor case is visibly bulged, cracked, or leaking fluid.
- Capacitance measures outside the specified 124-149 µF range when tested with a multimeter.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect all electrical power to the unit before beginning installation.
- Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with an insulated tool.
- Confirm the new capacitor's µF rating matches the original component's specifications. The voltage rating must be equal to or greater than the original.
- Ensure firm connections to the quick disconnect terminals.
- Mount the capacitor securely to prevent movement and vibration during operation.
