An electric dryer that tumbles but won't heat almost always traces back to one of three parts: the heating element, the thermal fuse, or the high-limit thermostat. Because a burned-out element often takes the fuse with it, most kits in this collection bundle all three β replacing them together is the difference between fixing it once and opening the cabinet twice.
Match by part number first β it's printed on the old element housing or in your dryer's tech sheet. Common references we stock: 279838 and W10724237 for Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper, Maytag and Amana dryers; 8544771 for Whirlpool-built 27" models; 3387747 for Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag and KitchenAid; DC47-00019A for Samsung dryers, including DVE50R5200W/A3 and DV42H5200EP/A3. Not sure which one fits? Check the model number inside the door frame β every product page lists compatible models, or send us your model and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
Full kits pair the nichrome-coil element with the matching thermal fuse and high-limit thermostat (for Samsung: DC47-00019A element with DC47-00018A thermostat and DC96-00887A fuse). Coils are wound to OEM resistance spec so heat output and cycle times stay true to the original β no half-hot loads, no extended dry times.
If the dryer heats but shuts off early, test the cycling thermostat before replacing the element. If it won't start at all, that's usually the thermal fuse, not the element. Our guides on testing a dryer heating element and finding your dryer model number cover the checks in minutes with a multimeter.
