FAQ

This flapper is designed for 1.28 GPF single-flush toilets, including AquaSource models 98923, 12293, 312795, 352027, and 395280. It is also compatible with specific AquaSource toilet lines such as Henshaw, Colby, Lyndsay, and Rutherford, as well as Gerber model 99-788.
The most common signs are a toilet that runs continuously, phantom flushing (where the tank refills on its own without being used), or a handle that feels loose or requires jiggling to stop the water flow. If you notice these symptoms, the flapper seal has likely degraded and is no longer holding a watertight seal against the flush valve.
No tools are required for installation. You can replace the flapper by simply turning off the water supply, flushing the toilet to drain the tank, and unhooking the old flapper from the flush valve ears and chain. The new unit snaps directly into place.
Before installing the new part, inspect the flush valve seat at the bottom of the tank. If there is mineral buildup, calcium deposits, or rough edges on the seat, wipe it clean with a soft cloth or a non-abrasive pad. A clean, smooth surface is essential for the new flapper to create a proper seal and prevent future leaks.
The replacement process is straightforward and generally takes less than 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
