It is compatible with 79cc, 80cc, 97cc, and 105cc engines commonly found on these mini bikes and go-karts, as well as Phatmoto and Lifan 79cc platforms.
If your engine is struggling to start, idling roughly, surging while under load, or leaking fuel from the bowl, the carburetor is often the culprit. These issues are frequently caused by internal clogs from old fuel or damaged internal diaphragms and gaskets.
This kit includes the carburetor assembly, a throttle cable, a main jet, fuel line, fuel filter, spark plug, and the necessary mounting gaskets to ensure an airtight seal against the engine intake.
The installation is straightforward and typically requires only basic hand tools: a socket set (usually 8mm or 10mm for the mounting nuts), a flathead and Phillips screwdriver, and pliers for the fuel line clamps. The process generally takes 30 to 45 minutes for most users.
The primary cause of failure for these small-engine carburetors is the use of ethanol-blended gasoline. Ethanol attracts moisture and leaves behind gummy deposits that clog the tiny internal passages and jets, especially if the bike sits unused for extended periods. We recommend using fresh, non-ethanol fuel and draining the carburetor bowl if you plan to store the bike for more than a few weeks.
Before mounting the new carburetor, ensure the intake manifold surface is clean and free of old gasket material. When installing the new gaskets, do not overtighten the mounting nuts, as this can crack the plastic components or warp the mounting flange, leading to vacuum leaks that cause poor engine performance.
