When to Replace
- Replace the bin when its front or side wall is cracked and can no longer safely retain items.
- Install a new bin if the original shelf is broken, missing, or damaged during removal.
- Replace it when the mounting points no longer hold the bin securely in the refrigerator door.
Installation Tips
- Remove all food and containers from the damaged bin before beginning.
- Lift or slide the existing bin from its door supports according to the refrigerator's mounting design; do not force a bin that is still latched.
- Clean and dry the door supports before installing the replacement.
- Seat the new bin fully in both mounting points and check that it is level and secure before loading it.
- Allow about 10 to 15 minutes for a straightforward replacement using no special tools. A plastic trim tool may help with stubborn retaining clips; avoid metal tools that can damage the door liner.
