When to Replace
Replace a restricted, damaged, or oil-contaminated air filter during scheduled maintenance. A clogged filter can contribute to hard starting, black exhaust smoke, reduced power, poor throttle response, and inefficient engine operation. Replace the fuel filter, oil filter, and spark plug included in the kit according to the vehicle manufacturer’s service interval or when their condition indicates service is needed.
Installation Tips
- Switch off the vehicle, allow the engine to cool, and disconnect the spark plug lead before servicing.
- Remove the air-filter housing cover and compare the replacement filter with the original before installation.
- Clean loose dirt from the housing without allowing debris into the intake.
- Seat both filter end seals evenly and secure the housing cover before starting the engine.
- Install the included spark plug, fuel filter, and oil filter using the vehicle manufacturer’s service procedure and specifications.
